The flawed master available on amazon
Kind readers,
my latest book of essays, The flawed master: lessons Professor Snape taught me, is now available on amazon:

Print: $20.00
The cover and book information will appear on the page in a couple of weeks or so, but in the meantime, I uploaded my own image of the cover. If you read my scribblings and find them to be of comfort, and would like to share a few kind words about the book on amazon, I would be grateful unto eternity.
Goodness. I am a bit overwhelmed.

a sweet treat would not be amiss
Kind readers,
all I want for Christmas is…
That sounds so, so lovely.
Just the thing when I am working on a book… Not too long from now, it will be time to start writing A Princely Calling. Egad.
I need to email the Infinitus organizers soon, re: reading from The flawed master and paper submission (in fact, one of the essays in A Princely Calling)… Ah, goodness.

Jane G. Meyer
Kind readers,
I have added a new link to the “Christian Links” section: the website of Orthodox author Jane G. Meyer. Do take a look at her beautiful children’s books.
She may also review my books of Snape essays on Ancient Faith Radio at some point in the future, if, as I wrote in reply to her, said books have any merit…
I just reread the email to make certain I did not imagine her offer to review my scribblings.
I shall let you know what happens.

review of Bring forth the best robes
Kind readers,
Denise Roper, author of The Lord of the Hallows: Christian Symbolism and Themes in J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter, recently wrote a very generous review of my first book of Snape essays:
Logospilgrim’s Bring Forth the Best Robes: A Spiritual Understanding of Severus Snape is a profound and beautiful meditation on the redemptive power of love, written by an Orthodox Christian author whose insight into the character of Severus Snape is both unique and enlightening. I would highly recommend this book for spiritual seekers who are fans of the Harry Potter series’ most complex and controversial character, as well as recommending it for those readers who wish to explore the Christian dimension of J. K. Rowling’s enthralling series of novels. Logospilgrim, the quiet professor, has painted a portrait of the Potions Master that is tender and deeply moving. In this book, the author’s writing style has seamlessly woven threads of saintly Christian wisdom into her own silken narrative of the life of Severus Snape. From this fine material, Logospilgrim has clad the repentant sinner, the misunderstood outcast Severus Snape, in the robes of the Prodigal Son of Christ’s famous parable.
I am grateful for her kind words, especially since I admire her work: her enjoyable book is filled with compelling arguments and intriguing historical details -I highly recommend it.

logospilgrim.com revamped
Kind readers,
I have spent the day redesigning this website, and am about to get a bit of rest, but I wanted to show you something… I thought it would be a good way to celebrate the site’s brand new look.
A few months ago, I mentioned that I was getting garments made by Kambriel, to be worn at Infinitus 2010.
Here is one of them, the red martyr nightgown, symbolic of blood flowing for Love’s sake:

I hope to have photos for you of me wearing it in the not too distant future. Kambriel did an astounding job creating the robes I had envisioned.

The flawed master: minor delay
Kind readers,
I fear that there will be a delay in the release of the book, which was to take place today… I am still waiting for the proof copy to reach my mailbox.
Sigh.
The book will be available as soon as the proof arrives and I have approved it. This will occur at some point next week, hopefully early next week.
The moment it is available, I shall let you know via Twitter, my facebook page and my livejournal.
Thank you for your patience and understanding! I am exhausted.
